Vintage 1950s Blue Air Force Academy Sweatshirt Eagle Lightning Bolt Gusset

I am selling this sweatshirt AS IS, AS FOUND. All sales are final and there are no returns. Fresh from an estate! It does still have a musty smell. Any further cleaning or repairing will be left up to the buyer. All sales are final.
Vintage 1950s light blue sweatshirt. Cotton. Air Force Academy with eagle & lightning bolt. The sweatshirt is not perfect, has been well-loved, and has many flaws. The sweatshirt has overall wear, fading, musty smell, discoloration, spots/stains, many areas of holes, and cracking to the graphics. Please see images for condition. Not all issues are pictured. All sales are final and there are no returns.
I acquired this sweatshirt from a local family and they told me this sweatshirt belonged to their father, who was a USAAF pilot in WWII, and was part of the ICWATC. I believe this sweatshirt from after his service in WWII, and is from the early 1950s. Sadly, they did not have any photos or really any other information about him. I wish I knew more! I found his grave marker online, which tells me he was born in 1920 & passed away in 1997. His marker says he was Major in the USAAF.

Length - approximately 23.5” (from the top of neck/collar area to hem length)
